    IT System Engineer / Systeembeheerder


    Start: Asap na gunning
    Duur: 3 – 6 maanden met mogelijke optie tot verlenging
    Locatie: Regio Amsterdam  (veelal remote en in overleg ook enige dagen op locatie)
    Inzet: 40 uur per week (36 is ook bespreekbaar)

    Note: Beheersing van de Engelse taal in woord en geschrift is een Must ! 

    The professionals are required to manage the EMA Regional Delivery Center (RDC) hosting facilities, running several services for the EMA clients with more than 30.000 end users.
     
    The services include critical IT security improvements, business projects and digital transformation.
     
    You will work on operations related activities and upgrades. 
     
    Role Summary :
    The role serves as an experienced IT professional in the capacity of an Infra Specialist and as such:
    • Manage the EMA RDC Infrastructure, both cloud based and on-premise for services offered by the EMA RDC to member firms in the EMA region. 
    • Work closely with EMA RDC Head of Infrastructure and the EMA RDC Enterprise Architect to implement project work and follow all required BAU activities for EMA RDC services
    • Work closely with the resources that manage the EMA RDC data center and cloud hosting, providing direction and guidance. Step in on (critical) incidents in the role of subject matter expert
    • Participate in projects for member firms in the EMA region to support their digital transformation and/or application (hosting) activities

    The area of responsibility is primarily within the cloud, virtualization environments, operating system management and system integration 

    Management : 
    Work with all the teams (including infrastructure, application support, service management and project management) to ensure that the established processes are being followed. Prioritize team workload according to project work and plan agreed with the Head of Infrastructure or the Enterprise Architect.

    Technical Skills & Qualifications :
    • Understanding of ITIL processes, SOW’s, Agreements, SLA’s and KPI’s, cost of service and Risk & security
    • Understanding of technology architecture in an enterprise environment
    • Understanding of Agile / Scrum / DevOps approach to realize business value for the customer
    • Good experience with Microsoft products, such as Windows Server, MS SQL Server, MS System Center
    • Experience with Linux preferred
    • Ability to share knowledge of IT and Technology leading practices, products and solutions and communicate how ITS Global solutions can support the achievement of short- and long- term business goals and requirements
    • Ability to manage a large portfolio of planning and delivery activities with strong team management strategies and tactics experience
    • Ability to communicate and position EMA RDC and the tasks to managed teams
    • Proven ability to manage business expectation, address feedback and escalate any risks associated with business decisions to EMA RDC Leadership
    • Ability to provide status tracking and reporting plan vs. delivery successes for EMA RDC services
    • Ability to solve the most complex technical issues related to the team management while articulating the complexities in delivering or implementing tasks across multiple teams.
    • Capable of strategic thinking related to the product and of moving strategic plans into action

    Description of level of Qualifications : 
    • Minimum 4+ years in a tactical IT role with overall IT background experience
    • Certification and/or experience with various Microsoft products

    Experience & Knowledge :
    • Experience in managing the delivery of solutions within large, multinational organizations
    • Experience with project/product delivery and BAU activities
    • Experience working with project teams in product and sales management for IT products
    • Experience managing relationships with technology providers
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft solutions
    • Experience with creating process and design documentation
    • Understanding of the firm’s business processes, project management and BAU task planning.
    • Ability to work in a cultural diverse environment with team members of the EMA RDC and member firms across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region
    • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, strong team player
    • A desire to learn and grow, as well as a desire to help others do so
