Senior Solution Architect

Start : ASAP na gunning
Inzet : Fulltime (36 - 40 uur per week)
Locatie : Regio Amsterdam, werkzaamheden zowel op locatie als remote (in overleg)
Duur : Eind september 2022 met mogelijke optie tot verlenging

Note : beheersing van de Engelse taal in woord en geschrift is een Must !

Role summary:
Responsible for the technical deployment of the business applications as directed by the Senior Solution Architect on behalf of an IT Relationship Manager. To effect the successful technical design and deployment of business applications in accordance to the organization IT Standards and Global practices.

• Experience creating solutions for modern data warehouses
   - Overall system architecture

   - Capacity planning for large volumes of data and high user concurrency/demand
   - Implementation of data governance policies
   - AI and ML capabilities (a plus)"
• Create architectural documentation for review by both business and technical stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills to assertively and concisely express ideas to different levels of resources
• Integration with external SaaS solutions (A2A, data integration, SSO, etc.)
• Experience with SaaS solutions such as Power Platform and Power BI a plus
• Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce, MS Dynamics, or SAP a plus

50 % :
Manage and implement the successful technical deployment of systems within member firm and global environments, the role will:
• Act as a trusted advisor to business; ensures the efficiency of cloud requests and manage customer driven, cloud projects; create Cloud documentation of technical implementation plans; represent Cloud Operations to all stakeholders
• Develop and coordinate cloud architecture across diverse areas including application development, identity and access management, network and data management, and security
• Facilitate the architectural artifacts required to build corresponding consensus with the business and IT organizations involved
   - Network architecture
   - Information flow
   - Authentication and authorization architecture
   - Infrastructure usage
   - Technical architecture definition/design
   - Etc."
• Mediate and coordinate all activities of the security assessment review process
• Provide high level cost and resource estimates for Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as Service (SaaS) offerings
• Use standardized process for mapping business needs to available cloud technology options, including assessment of risks and possible mitigations
• Adopt a wholistic approach that considers operational and support concerns, with a strong preference towards designing for reliability via available tools and approaches (e.g., automation, monitoring)
• Review and audit code authored by the team to ensure compliance with best practices and project specific rules
• Provide knowledge transfer to Engineering and Support personnel as needed and serve as Subject Matter Expert for Level 4 support escalations

Experience & knowledge:
• Experienced team manager and providing team leadership - define work tasks, set priorities, ensure proper utilization, monitor and report on progress
• Experience in a global team matrix environment
• Experience with architecting enterprise solutions supporting large/small data
• Capable of forward thinking and of moving strategic plans into action
• Demonstrated experience mentoring, coaching, developing team members and being a role model
• Envisage, portray and embody the big data picture – account for the perspective of the entire organization, standards for data management, systems and interfaces to data sources, all the while contrasting current state to recommended/desired state
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document and communicate technical information to IT Leadership, yet be able to manage discussions with the business
• International experience with the ability to work in a diverse work environment across cultures and time-zones; available to travel (internationally) at short notice and host/attend international calls outside of standard working hours

Experience :
• Minimum five years’ experience as a Solution Architect
• Minimum ten years’ experience in delivery of enterprise systems and architectures"   

Technical skills, abilities & qualifications:

• Strong experience as a technical leader on successful large programs with the ability to manage multi-disciplined teams in a global IT organization.
• Minimum of 10 years of recent and relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent experience required
• Comprehensive knowledge of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as Service (SaaS) across Microsoft Azure cloud and the Microsoft technology stack in general, IT Security, software development, and infrastructure deployment methodologies and industry best practices
• Experience with scalable architectures using server and serverless technologies
• Maintain updated knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, and emerging data technologies especially as it pertains to Microsoft Azure
• Ideally with prior experience working at Big 4, Investment Banking or Audit
• Knowledge of application, database, system, and network design
• Confidence in dealing with staff, managers and partners across the firm
• Proficient communication skills with non-technical audiences
• Good knowledge of regional issues and structures, ability to work with people from many different cultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college/university in Computer Science or related field (Masters preferred)
• Azure Solution Architect (or related)
• Experienced and/or certified with other related tools or methodologies
• TOGAF 9.x certified (a plus)"
