ITNL-Detachering - DNS specialist

  • For a project consisting in migrating Internal DNS on premise solution to Azure we are looking to hire an Internal DNS consultant with the following expertise:

    - Windows Server 2016 DNS solution expert

    - Internal and External DNS expertise in terms of architecture, design and implement in large companies

    - DNS resolution of external zone

    - Network Time Protocol (NTP) expertise

    - Azure infrastructure expertise

    - Able to provide design and architecture document, knowledge of BPMN is a plus.

    - Able to define Internal DNS proof of concept technical steps and able to perform the PoC

    - Able to provide a technical implementation documents and run books in order to prepare for the implementation in the different environment (development, QA, Production). The consultant will need to make sure the security aspect is taken into account (SOX compliancy)

    - Able to provide support documentation and operational process workflows following ITIL principles

     

    High level role description

    Step 1

    Paper-based exercise: confirm whether Windows Server 2016 Internal DNS solution is technically feasible for the client

    Step 2

    If Windows Server 2016 DNS is the right solution for our client the consultant will plan, prepare and perform Internal DNS PoC with Windows Server 2016 DNS solution.

    Outcome will need to be fully documented as well as preparation steps.

    Step 3

    If PoC is successful prepare for migration from current Internal DNS solution to Windows Server 2016 DNS.

    This step includes the production of the architecture, low level designs, technical implementation steps and configuration document, run books, prepare and assist for security review, production of operational procedures and processes.

    This list is non exhaustive, a full scope definition will be produced from the outcome of the first two steps.

    Duration:

    June to September 2018 ideally 4 to 5 days per week from June to August.

    2 days per week in September to wrap up.
